Be prepared for picture overload. Venice Beach has been on my bucket list for a long time, for a special reason which I'll share a few pictures down! It was a beautiful town. Totally a hippie/artsy vibe going on down there... I'll share some of my favorite stops and where to go!
The Venice boardwalk. So many shops, and lots of street performers. It wasn't the cleanest boardwalk I've been to. But if you love the street performer vibe this would be perfect for you...
It was the perfect day...
Abbot Kinney Blvd. You have to go, it's amazing. Enough said.
We didn't get to eat at The Butcher's Daughter this trip but I'll definitely go next time. The inside is absolutely amazing. I'm in love with all of the hanging plants they have...
Isn't it awesome? I just want to sit in here for hours taking it all in... Next time.
This store right here is the reason we came. TOMS. My favorite brand. I have loved TOMS shoes for sooo long. And I've always wanted to go to their flagship store here in Venice Beach. And it didn't disappoint! Could've spent all day here :)
For those of you who haven't heard of TOMS shoes. In a nutshell they give away a pair of shoes to a child in need every time you buy a pair of their shoes. One for One. This is why I love this company so much. Not to mention I love the style and have more shoes from them than I can count almost. And I'm totally proud of it too.
They also sell eye wear which helps give sight to visually impaired people, bags which help give a safe birth to a mother and child, coffee which helps to give safe water, and watch bands which help give solar light. It's all One for One.
In shoe heaven.
The hangout. Loved just resting here and enjoying the ocean weather...
If you're an artist you'd love looking at all of the painted walls. They're everywhere.
Happy Socks store. Another favorite brand. Don't you love all the colors?! Makes me so happy.
Walking the streets with cold brew, can't get much better. Oh wait it can, because it's from TOMS Roasting Co. Yep, that makes the coffee way better.
In my card makers element. Someday maybe I'll open a shop like this. This shop is called Urbanic Paper Boutique. You need to go here.
This trip was to celebrate one year since the love of my life proposed to me. So I woke up and he gave me these shoes along with a thank you card, and a few other things just to say "thank you for saying yes when I asked you to marry me." Instantly melted. He's amazing. As a little side note, the first Christmas gift Chase gave me were red TOMS. I'd always dreamed of my guy giving me red TOMS and he didn't even know it. Talk about a happy girl...
The hubs. I love you babe!
The Hotel Erwin has a rooftop lounge. The view was awesome!
Finding color even in the alley...
The Venice Canals were another highlight. So beautiful! When Abbot Kinney, the man who originally started the town of Venice, tried to model it after Venice, Italy. Hence, the canals going through the town... It's definitely worth it to walk all through them. The homes are gorgeous, the landscaping, and just everything.
If you're going to Venice and you love food trucks, then go on the first Friday of the month as it's food truck day! We didn't know that when we planned the trip but it was so fun! We had dinner at a food truck called The Fix Burger.
Had to end our day by going back and hanging out at TOMS...
Venice was good to us. Lots of memories. We'll be coming back.
